How do I use the basic product search feature?
You have a variety of options to search for products in the PSI Product Finder 3.0.
To conduct an initial broad search, simply enter your search term in the large text box. An automatic suggestion feature will assist you not only by proposing alternate spellings and expressions but also by suggesting terms it has learned from other search queries (self-learning search engine).
The search engine will try to display meaningful search terms even in the case of typos.
How do I use the expanded product search feature?
Expanded product search enables you to refine your results by defining product attributes such as colour, material, finishing types etc. Doing so will yield search results that are even more precise.
Expanded search also allows you to save and reuse your individual search profiles.
To take advantage of this feature, please click on "Expanded Search" on the top right-hand side of the Product Finder 3.0 start page. Then select a product attribute from the dropdown menu and click on your desired choice. You can also combine several product attributes.
Once you execute an expanded search, you have the option of saving the applied search filter or even making it the default filter. To do so, simply click on the corresponding button, choose a name for the filter and confirm it by clicking "ok". Access the saved filter again anytime by selecting "My Account" – "My Search Profiles" (top right-hand side of the navigation menu).
How can I change the sort order of displayed results?
Simply click on the "Search Relevance" button and select the attribute by which you’d like to sort your search results.
How do I search for manufacturers or service providers?
You can search for manufacturers or service providers in a variety of ways. E.g. you can search for manufacturers you already know by entering the company name in the large white search box. Or click on "Expanded Search" and enter a city, or select a product group or finishing type.
How does the quick-access list work?
Start by going to "My Account" – "My Quick-access Lists" to create a new quick-access list for the respective customer. To do so, click on "Add List", select whether you’re creating a product or manufacturer list, name the list and click "ok".
Then execute your product search. Next to each product you’ll find a button called "Add to Quick-access List". Once you’ve added the desired product to the corresponding quick-access list, navigate to "My Account" – "My Quick-access Lists" to view the quick-access list.
How does the product comparison feature work?
To compare similar products, create a quick-access list and call it up. Then click "Compare" and "Submit" to view the selected products side by side.
How do I submit proposal or catalogue requests to manufacturers?
Put your favourite products on a quick-access list and call it up. Click on "Proposal Request" or "Catalogue Request" followed by "Submit" to automatically send your request to the manufacturer(s).
How do I create presentations for customers?
Put your favourite products on a quick-access list and call it up. Click on "Create Presentation" followed by "Submit". This will create a PowerPoint presentation you can fill with notes and offers for your customer. You can also save this presentation and e-mail it to your customer.
